Welcome from the President

Hello my fellow congregants,

I am excited and humbled to be your president for the next two years. I am hopeful for the future. Our synagogue is where we shares our simchas and our trials, and come together as a second family. There are challenges ahead of us, challenges that many other conservative synagogues are facing. But I know that our executive leadership and Board of Trustees are ready to face these challenges head on.

I also know that we cannot do it alone. We need  you, our JCCP/CBT family. We need your participation. We need  you to be involved and stay involved. It has been said time and time again, and I believe it to be true; that the only bad idea is the one that was never suggested. I look forward to hearing about your ideas, concerns, needs, and especially simchas from each and every one of you.

The foundation on which the JCCP/CBT was built is strong. It was built by our clergy and lay leaders, family and friends, adhering to and passing down traditions, and sharing kindnesses with each other, our community and the world. We are now the ones, all of us, who will honor that foundation by continuing to hold onto our Jewish values that will inspire the next generation.

Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rabbi Weiner, Cantor Krasner, our Executive Director, Rita Greenberg, and our amazing staff at the JCCP/CBT for all they do. Some of the results of their efforts can be seen, but much is done behind the scenes. They work tirelessly throughout the year to help make our synagogue truly feel like our second home. Please remember to thank them in your own special way.

From my loved ones to yours, I wish you a healthy happy, prosperous New Year. May we all be inscribed in the book of life. Shana Tova.
