Overview

Services at the JCCP/CBT – Shabbat (& Holidays)

Friday Night Service – Kabbalat Shabbat at the JCCP/CBT is currently held on Zoom and led by Rabbi Weiner and Cantor Krasner, along with lay participation. It can be characterized by an infusion of both modern & traditional melodies in a welcoming environment.

Saturday Morning Service  –  We are quite proud of our unique service model.  As a diverse and contemporary Conservative synagogue, we are blessed to have members who prefer egalitarian services and we are equally blessed to have members who prefer traditional services.  Everyone finds a comfortable home here because every Shabbat and every Holiday morning we alternate between egalitarian and traditional services. After services, we join as a community for a beautiful Kiddush luncheon in our Social Hall.

For those with such interest we encourage lay davening.  For those who prefer not to lead services we encourage you to find a comfortable place to sit and to enjoy the service.

Havdalah

We are currently gathering together on Zoom to mark the end of Shabbat and to transition back to the regular week.  We hope in the coming months to return to our afternoon Mincha and Ma’ariv services for our what is often a very interesting, informal discussion.  Should you decide to join us you will soon understand why the mantra of this service is “What happens in The Chapel stays in The Chapel”.
