 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Bar Kochba Revolt\n\nBeginning January 20 - Runs for 6
  Weeks\nRabbi Arthur Weiner\n\nThe Bar Kochba Revolt was a true turning po
 int in the history of the Jewish people\, and a third and final attempt to
  force the Romans out of the Land of Israel. Led by a charismatic and mess
 ianic figure\, and joined by some of the greatest sages of the Mishna\, th
 e revolt began successfully and ended with a tragic defeat at Beitar. We w
 ill study the circumstances that led to this third attempt to free Israel 
 from Roman oppression\, the significant personalities that both led as wel
 l as opposed this revolt\, and its implications for Jewish history.\n\nWe 
 are proud to have reached 25 years of studying Jewish history together in
