Shabbat & Holidays

    Services Every Shabbat

The JCCP/CBT has Shabbat services every Shabbat of the year, including during the summer months and on national holidays. Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat, and Saturday Shabbat morning and afternoon services are all held. Services are comprehensive, including full Torah readings when appropriate.

    Services Every Holiday

Holiday services are held for every Religious Holdiay of the year. Services are comprehensive, including full Torah readings when appropriate.

    Egalitarian and Non-Egalitarian Shabbat Services

On Shabbat, we offer two Shabbat morning services, one in a Traditional Egalitarian format, and the other in a Traditional Non-Egalitarian format. Both services start at the same time, in separate rooms in our facility, and end together with one common kiddish luncheon. Family members have a choice of which Shabbat service to attend.

    Kiddish Luncheons

Full sit-down luncheons are available every Shabbat, and for many Holidays. Simcha celebrations often included special luncheons.

    Havdalah Services

At the conclusion of every Shabbat and Holiday, a Havdalah service is held. This service marks the end of a Shabbat and the beginning of a new week, or the end of a Holiday and a return to the regular week’s activities. Children often participate and enjoy helping with Havdalah services.
