    Diverse Courses and Events  
   
The Adult Education Committee is planning a number of exciting and diverse courses and events for the coming year. Among our offerings guaranteed to expand your Jewish horizons are: Judaism 101, our popular Book Discussions, the JCCP Jewish Film Festival and the Seminary Scholar Lectures. Cantor Weiss will once again teach his class: Adventures in Prayer Translations. A course brochure and registration form will be available in September.
  
       
    Judaism 101 Class  
   
This fall we offer year two of our enriching class Judaism 101 which was begun last year. Once again, the teachers will be Rabbi Weiner, Marcia Kagedan, the Educational Director of our Religious School, and occasional guest lecturers. The 2-year program will cover Hebrew Reading Skills, Prayer, Shabbat and Holidays, Mitzvot, and History, and will culminate in an optional B’nai Mitzvah/Graduation ceremony. A new first year class is being offered as well.
  
       
    Seminary Scholar Lecture Series   
   
Our Seminary Scholar Lecture Series returns. Last year these lectures were exciting, informative, and especially well received, so don’t miss these absorbing lectures by Professors from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Dates to be announced.
