Board of Governors

  Vital part of the JCCP

The Board of Governors has been a vital part of the JCCP for more than three decades. It was formed some 32 years ago by a group of concerned congregants willing to donate additional funds to the shul to help stabilize it and ensure its future. Working with our then Rabbi, Aryeh L. Gotlieb, the Board of Governors was formed. The criterion for becoming a member at that time: contributing a minimum of $1,000 (equivalent to over $4,000 today) above and beyond a family’s regular Temple dues. Three decades later, we have maintained that $1,000 threshold.

    Long-Term Generosity

Over the past 32 years, the Board of Governors has contributed over $3.2 million to help keep our spiritual home strong and vibrant. As a result of the generosity of the Board of Governors, the Jewish Community Center of Paramus has been able to operate without a building fund. It has also allowed us to keep our Hebrew School tuition down while continuing to deliver a first-rate Jewish education that makes all members of our congregational family proud.

    All Are Welcome

We welcome you to our shul family. The generosity of those who join the Board of Governors has been repaid many times over. As Rabbi Hillel said over 2,000 years ago: "One who increases charity, increases peace."
